Yorkshire Bank named best regional lender
Yorkshire Bank has been hailed as the best regional lender by Your
Mortgage magazine.
This is the 11th time that the financial institution has walked
away with the award.
Its parent company, National Australia Group, also picked up the
Publishers Special Award, which was presented to the company "in
recognition of its consistency, commitment and excellence in the
mortgage market for the past 20 years."
Commenting on the awards, Garry Lumby, head of retail banking at
Yorkshire Bank, said that everyone at the institution was "very
proud" to have been recognised.
He said: "We are especially delighted to have received this award
for the 11th time and this underlines our commitment to providing
an innovative and competitive product base for our
consumers."
North of the border, Clydesdale Bank picked up the honour of best
mortgage lender in Scotland for the sixth time.
Editor in chief at Your Mortgage Paula John congratulated all the
winners, stating that maintaining high standards in a time of
economic hardship was a real achievement.
